JOSE SARAMAGO TRILOGY
To design a trilogy of books for Portuguese writer, Jose Saramago. It must encompass a sense of vertigo in Saramago’s writing as well as mystery and intrigue. Each book uses a singular visual for each major plot point of the story.
Since the book covers are designed not to display the authors name, this is the main focus of the spine. Jose Saramago’s name is wrapped around the spine of each book, each with a different shade of one another to look like a gradient together. The feature of the penguin logo is brought out more within the design by making the title of each book the same rich orange of its brand.
